Merry Christmas Eve everyone! (or actual Christmas, if you live in the Philippines)
For you guys's gift, I've uploaded the beginning of a BRAND NEW PROJECT!!!!! It is called The Files of Joy, Ryder, and Pinkie!!! Click here to check it out!!!!!!!! I'm sure you guys will really enjoy this one!!!!!!!! :D
I got a haircut (again :P) I wanted it to be as short as Tris's haircut in the Insurgent movie :D
I also made Mabel sweaters! I just got normal sweaters and sewed designs on them :) they're really fun to make!
iHola amigos! (pretend that I used an upside-down exclamation point and not a lowercase I) What's up? Nothing drastic has happened in my life- oh, wait, I can actually name a few.
1. I FINALLY, FINALLY GOT TO WATCH SONG OF THE SEA!!!! ITS SO BEAUTIFULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
2. My lil' cousin Isabelle turned 5!!!!!!!!! She's so old now!!!!!
3. I've been doing the Inktober challenge! Check my art blog for more details!
4. I've been using a lot of exclamation points lately!!!
Anyway, on to what I was GOING to say, has anyone else seen this?
I was looking at this Google Doodle thing, and I was wondering if it was worth pursuing? I thought it was a really good idea, but I don't know... I usually don't win these things (and besides I'm super busy with other projects) but wouldn't it be cool if I tried? :) Just something I might keep in mind...
Anyway, I'm off to update my art blog. Bai!
Hey guys, I’m not dead! School started so I am really busy at the moment… But don’t worry, I will try to post as often as I can!
So before I begin: please check the art blog if you haven’t already cuz I posted some of my newer drawings! I think I will post a lot of my sketches in little dumps like that- you can follow me on Instagram if you want to see them fastly! :P
Anyway I kinda wanted to devote this blog to animated movies cuz yeah I love animated movies. And not just Disney, Dreamworks, etc. There’s actually some movies that I feel are underrated that I really love because they’re just so unique and beautiful! I feel like you guys should definitely know about ‘em!!
GHIBLI MOVIES!!! Ever since I discovered anime I was really inspired by the style, so I went on a hunt to find an appropriate, God-honoring anime to watch… but I haven’t found anything (if you know of a fine-for-me-to-watch anime please let me know J) until I found the Studio Ghibli movies. You guys probz know about them but if you don’t go check them out! Take a look at My Neighbor Totoro or Spirited Away. You can also look at The Wind Rises but it was a little grown-up-y for me. :P I have a couple other Ghibli movies on DVD that I haven’t watched yet; I’ll keep ya guys posted when I watch them!
The Secret of Kells (this one à https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Secret_of_Kells) Once upon a time I was browsing Amazon Prime and I stumbled upon this movie. It looked kinda interesting, and I thought “hopefully this will take up the next hour or so!” So I watched it. And I was AWESTRUCK! I started screaming because THOSE GRAPHICS ARE SO AMAZING YOU NEED TO WATCH IT TO UNDERSTAND!!! It’s kind of like a kid’s book that came to life, I guess. I think there’s another movie made by the same guys called Song of the Sea; I haven’t watched it yet but it is also available on Prime so I will watch it sometime this week and let you guys know what I think!
Houdini (this one à http://www.redbox.com/movies/houdini-2015 and this --> http://www.wildabouthoudini.com/2015/06/animated-houdini-coming-to-dvd.html ) Last Friday I was at Jewel with my mom searching for shtuff on Redbox (we were actually trying to find The Fault In Our Stars but failed) when I found this movie. I was kinda shocked cuz the cover art looked similar to how I draw… but then I thought it looked cute! And when I watched it, I started screaming AGAIN because the backgrounds were SO COOL AND PAINTERLY AND DO I HAVE TO MENTION HOW WONDERFUL THE STYLE THE PEOPLE DREW THE CHARACTERS IS??? I’m kind of sad though. It’s pretty hard to find this movie in America because I’m pretty sure it was French-ish. But besides Redbox I think you can find it on Amazon.
Okay I will stop screaming about movies and I am going to watch some good ole Gravity Falls—no wait, I think I need to do my reading assignment… Well whatever I’m going to do, I have to go now. BAIIIII!!!!!
That's how I used to think it was spelled XD
Anyway, hi again everyone!!! One week till school starts... :D Here's yet another slideshow of our trip to WiNsconsin!!! (Went there last week for 2 days!)
Hey guys! I'm back from art camp. It was a blast! Go check out this slideshow below. (I'm really tired so I'm sorry I'm not going into much detail!!!)
Gotta thank my parents and my aunt for letting me go al the way to Chicago for two weeks of art camp. It was so much fun and totally worth it! I think I'm gonna try their high school camps; hopefully they have animation courses too! :) Hope you guys liked these pictures. Bai for now!
SUp y'all! Rachel here! Man, it's been a while since I've updated this website, hasn't it? I hope you guys haven't abandoned meh ;-;
Anyway, how's life everyone? I've been doing great!! I'm gearing up for an art camp (as zeh title says :P) at Chicago, and I'll be off for TWO WEEKS!!! Don't worry, I'll come on here whenever I get the chance! :D
Well that's all for now, sorry for the really short update! Also, if you haven't already, please check out me and my cousins' YouTube channel! There's a link on the homepage :) BAI!!!
Heyyo, Rachel here! I have some super exciting news: The Gang has a YouTube channel!
You can check out our first video below!
So basically what we're planning to do is take our subscribers along on our adventures! We'll upload videos of our nature walks, science experiments, Minecrafting, and lots, lots more!!! :D
Of course, the channel needs to be polished up a little more (I really need to fix the header cuz it doesn't look amazing at the moment) but yeah feel free to subscribe!! :)
Oh, also I've been thinking (this may get really deep) but I've been thinking about those good ole days when the Gang was just ze Nathannn and I. Man, those were awesome times! We'd always play in the backyard or our basements or whatever, and we'd pretend to be ANYTHING! From "normal" superheroes to superhero animals or spies (we held on firmly to the belief that spies had the super ability to climb walls). Absolutely NO technology was involved!
And, that all changed when Nathan's little sister was born. Nathan was about 7 and I was bout 9 at that time. And life was never the same again.
DUN DUN DUNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, seriously. Everything was pretty different. No longer could we enjoy the peace and quiet of chilling in backyards eating popiscles. No longer could we bike fastly. And alas, gone are those blissful days when we played pretend! (Whoa, getting too deep and weird-sounding here)
ANYWAY, I hope you know what I mean. Basically Isabelle is growing up way differently than we did. Not gonna go into the details, cuz I'mm lazy haha.
Welp, that concludes this vlog so yah. Bai!
BOOM SHAKALAKA I'VE CHANGED SO MUCH!!!! TAKE A LOOOK:
New haircut, no braces... WOW :P
Here's a drawing as well :D Okay that's it for now bai everyone!
