Hey guys! I'm in Seattle right now visiting my aunt, uncles, and grandpa. But never fear, I'll be back at Chicago on Sunday so I'll still be able to go to school :)
I had a pretty fun time so far! So here's how the day started:
I woke up to my mom shouting (well, not really, but close to it) at 5am. I drank chocolate milk and ate some merengue, and by 5:30am my dad and I were on the road, and I was all dressed up in my tie-dye hoodie, my Peeps shirt, my camo Washington DC cap, a nice pair of jeans and my brand-new converse :D
And then sadly we couldn't ride the tram thing that takes you to all the terminals, so instead we took a bus to the airport which was very, very sad. Like everyone else in the bus were adult guys and a few adult girls and I felt so alone being the only kid on the bus.
After all that boring airport security stuff we finally boarded the plane at 8am, and I sketched a lot and I also listened to Everything Is Awesome and I also drank some ginger ale and then I took a nap which was very strange because normally I just CAN'T take naps. When I woke up my ears were poppin' like SO BAD but I didn't cry or anything cuz it's a pointless thing to cry about. But apparently some babies weren't so happy about the change in air pressure and they were crying SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LOUDLY :( poor babies
We finally arrived at SeaTac airport, and we met my Uncle P (initial used to protect identity, blah blah blah) and after half an hour of playing Geometry Dash and texting my friend (codename:AUSTIN) Auntie M (also initial used to protect identity stuff) and Uncle O came and picked us up. We went to this garden and glass museum, then we took the monorail to Pike Place. It was really a fun time!!!
And now I'm at my grandpa's house and I finally got the password to the Internet. YAY!!
I'll type more stuff later, so stay tuned! Also, if you're reading this, tell me why the chicken crossed the road XD
Hey guys (honestly I doubt that someone's going to read this, but whatever) I'm back from vacation :)
It was so fun! On Sunday, we drove all the way from our house to Washington DC (which took like 13 hours, no kidding) and by the time we actually got there it was 10pm [if you read up to here, tell me the 2nd letter of the alphabet] and I was sooooooooooo tired and it didn't even help that the hotel we were supposed to go to they wouldn't let us in because they said someone overheated the stove and the sprinklers turned on (I think) So we went to a different hotel.
When I woke up the next day, I realized the hotel was AMAZING (I couldn't see that the night before since I was so tired) seriously, it was so CLEAN, it was so SOPHISTICATED, they didn't have a slimy bathroom floor, everything about that hotel was awesome!
And then we went driving around, and we even went to see George Washington's mansion which was pretty cool! I even drew some sketches along the way, but I don't have my phone right now so I can't show you just yet. [If you read up to here, say "Pie is superior to all foods except chocolate"] And my Uncle (who's not really my uncle but I just call him that) came over to our hotel and we had a very interesting conversation that involved computers and Minecraft and his job and my schoolwork and... Blood pudding I think?? Not a clue what that is, but that was something we talked about.
What else. Oh, I was going to go on to the next day, but later that Monday we actually drove to the center of DC and we saw the back of the White House, and the Lincoln Memorial :D
Okay, FINALLY I can go on to the next day. There was a Peeps store, and we went there and bought LOTS of Peeps and a box of Hot Tamales [If you read up to here, tell me what blue and yellow make], and we also got some presents for my cousins. And we spent more than $25, so we got a free Peeps mouse pad XD
And then we also went to, uhhh, what's-it-called?! I forgot. But anyway, my sister wasn't so happy :-\ she kept asking for Panera cups and smoothies, so instead of coming home Thursday (today), we ended up coming home yesterday (Wednesday) The trip back home was unbelievably long!!! [If you read up to here, tell me what 5+3 is] I did everything I could to keep myself entertained- I drew a picture (but it wasn't that good) I played Fruit Ninja, I listened to music on my phone, I watched Rio for like the 500th time, then I watched The Lego Movie for like the 5th time, AND THEN I watched How to Train Your Dragon for like the 50th time (all this isn't necessarily in the correct chronological order) AND STILL!! We weren't home. And here's the strange part- normally I can't fall asleep in the car- seriously, I CANNOT fall asleep in the car. But somehow, I was SO TIRED, I ended up falling asleep.
When I did wake up we were back in Chicago, I think, because my mom said we had half an hour until we got home. I continued trying to sleep but this time I couldn't because my sister was throwing a terrible tantrum and no matter how hard I tried I couldn't. [If you read up to here, tell me that Formal Logic is going to be fun] And then when we FINALLY got home it was 11pm and I just ran upstairs and flopped on my bed and fell asleep.
Thus ended the story of our trip to Washington DC.
Also, you might have noticed that I started putting up Bible verses on my website. That's because everything that I say or do is for the glory of God. And it's just me, okay? I'm not the kind of person who is like trying to convert people or something like that. So yeah, anyway, time for ze verse of the day- or blog- or whatever :D
"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 NIV
...River Rachel has left the building to go to either Navy Pier or the Museum of Science and Industry (not sure which one yet :D)
[P.S. If you read up to here, tell me everything that you're supposed to tell me next time you see/talk to me. Okay? Thanks.]
So as some of you may already know, I've had this website since 2009, and I wrote some babyish stuff on here during that time. Since then I periodically update, edit, add or delete pages on here. Sometimes I even change my website design altogether. (You really should have seen what my first website design was, you could hardly read the text)
So that's pretty much it. Keep an eye out for more changes coming soon!
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
