So this morning I woke up to do some math homework, and then I saw my pet parakeet Braidy's tail sticking out of his bird feeder. I took a closer look and realized he was DEAD!!
WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIE?!
Sorry I'm making quite a big deal about it, that's because I've had Braidy Bell for eight years. And that's a long time.
YAY! A new force has arrived! But I will not reveal her identity. You have to figure out who she is.
But, guess what? There are robins outside! Check out my pictures, and don't forget to tell me what you think! (My mom took most of these pictures though.)
I'm still sick as I'm typing this, and my mom is telling me to finish up my homework. Okay, but when I'm done with this, please!!
Well! The snow is melting? That's so sad/happy! What do you think of the snow? Do you like it? Or would you rather see the crocuses come out? Once while riding the car to ballet lessons, I saw a few robins already! Do they think it's spring already and they're coming around, or is it that they live here all year round? I'd love to hear what you think!
I took a few brain hemisphere dominance tests. Here are my results. I took them because in science class we are learning about the nervous system, and part of the nervous system is (of course!) the brain. We took on further study and I learned about each side of the brain. If you are left-brained, then you are more of the school-logical-type person. If you are right-brained, then you are very creative. I took the tests, and two of them said that I was left-brained, and one of them said I was right. I thought I was equally left and right, so I'm not sure if the tests were not very accurate. But they're cool.
Today I was in the yard, and my mom was looking in the backyard through her binoculars. She thinks she found a Red-breasted Nuthatch. "Come here!" she told me. When I came to her, it had flown away. Aw man! So my mom went on the Internet (she used her Samsung Galaxy Tablet for this) to search for some info on the new bird we found.
Then, my mom came across this website that somebody wrote. She had a blog that had a theme. She wrote about animals that she saw, and she had put a lot of facts. No wonder lots of people like to read those type of blogs, it has info that they don't know. Click on this link: http://seabrookeleckie.com/blog/ to see what I mean.
It was my inspiration. So I decided to make a theme. I like animals, and I watch them in my backyard or when we take walks (which I definitely cannot do right now because it's WINTER!) So I decided to write about nature.
My mom found some tracks. She found squirrel tracks
and bird tracks,
and I took pictures of a small flock of purple finches.
I'm a homeschooling kid who likes science and nature, particularly birds. I would like to be an artist or scientist (or maybe a fiction writer?) when I grow up.
Don't comment any spams or something or I will delete it.
